日本脳炎 / HONG KONG CAFE (CD)

2010年、ラストアルバムのリリースと同時に解散したTHE BACILLUS BRAINS(日本脳炎)。日本のロック史に大きな楔を打ち込んだ名作ミニアルバム「HONG KONG CAFE」が楽曲を追加し、待望の再リリース。
EXCLAIM、CHARM、SLIGHT SLAPPERSというハードコアオールスターのメンバーが、日本語のロックを演るというコンセプトで結成された日本脳炎。その活動はアンダーグラウンドに留まらず、メジャーデビューまで果たし、ここ日本に本物のロックの風を再度吹き込ませた。そんな彼らが残した作品の中で、今でも人気の高いミニアルバム「HONG KONG CAFE」がこの度再発される。CDに加え、初めてのアナログフォーマットでのリリースも嬉しいところ。2003年にKAKUBARHYTHMから7インチとしてリリースされて即完売、翌年にはStiffeen RecordsからCDでリリースされた、BREAKfASTとのスプリット作品の楽曲が追加収録されている。

In 2010, THE BACILLUS BRAINS (日本脳炎) disbanded simultaneously with the release of their final album. Their masterpiece mini-album “HONG KONG CAFE”, which made a significant mark in the history of Japanese Rock, is now being re-released with additional tracks.
Formed by hardcore all-star members from EXCLAIM, CHARM, and SLIGHT SLAPPERS with the concept of playing Rock in Japanese, THE BACILLUS BRAINS’s activities extended beyond the underground scene, achieving a major label debut and reigniting a true Rock spirit in Japan.
Among the works they left behind, the mini-album “HONG KONG CAFE” remains highly popular and is now reissued. In addition to the CD format, it will be available on vinyl for the first time, which is exciting news.
This release features additional tracks from a work originally issued as a 7-inch by KAKUBARHYTHM in 2003, which was later expanded with extra songs and released as a CD by Stiffeen Records in 2004.
The vinyl pressing is limited to 500 copies, so be sure to grab yours early.
