KISSSSAKI was launched as the ultimate “lifelong active” chapter envisioned by ISHI of FIREBIRDGASS—an idea he had nurtured for many years. From their formation in 1980, this CD celebrates their astonishing 45th anniversary in 2025. With a history this long, the band has undergone many member changes, yet they have remained a PUNK band through and through. They continue to pass on their message, however unconventional. 2007年にバンドの中心メンバーであったChelseaの逝去により活動を停止したPAINTBOX。その後も残ったメンバーで長い歳月を掛けて完成させた「TRIP, TRANCE & TRAVELLING」はハードコアの枠を超越した名作として今も燦然と煌めいているが、遂に彼らの歴史の"エピソード0"が紐解かれる。 今作品に収録されているのは、スタジオ練習テープの音源である。これから時間を掛けて仕上げていく為のプロトタイプではあるが、この時点で既に楽曲のクオリティは非常に高く、完成されていればどれもシングル級の楽曲になったであろうとボーカルのMuneは語る。 演奏メンバーは、ギターがChelsea、ベースはNaka(NO PROBLEM)、ドラムはSuguru(ブルースビンボーズ/DEEPCOUNT)という初期の編成で、ボーカルはChelseaが仮歌の状態で歌っている。Muneは楽曲には不参加ではあるが、その想いをライナーノーツに掲載しているのでこちらも是非ご一読いただきたい。 ※スタジオリハーサルでの録音カセットを家庭用機器でデジタル化した素材をマスターとして使用している為、お聴き苦しい点やノイズなどが発生している箇所がございます。予めご了承ください。 After the hiatus following the passing of bandmate Chelsea in 2007, the remaining members of PAINTBOX spent years completing this masterpiece. TRIP, TRANCE & TRAVELLING transcends the bounds of hardcore, shining brilliantly like a shooting star in reverse sent to the heavens. At last, "Episode 0" of their history is unraveled. These recordings are practice sessions and are technically just prototypes of songs. Yet, had they been brought to completion, all these songs would have reached releases as singles. The band discussed that the songs were high-caliber even in this state. The members on the recordings are Chelsea on guitar, Naka (NO PROBLEM) on bass, and Suguru [BLUES BINBOS (ブルーズビンボーズ)/DEEPCOUNT] on drums. The vocals were temporarily done by Chelsea.
