self deconstructionからの脱退以降しばらく鳴りを潜めていたものの、徐福(ZYO-FUK)での活動や、HOLY GRINDER(CANADA)とのコラボ、MEANINGの楽曲へのゲスト参加、そしてIndustrial/EBM Metalのソロアーティスト"KUBINE"として活動を再開したことも目にした方は多いのではないだろうか。多岐にわたる活動を経て、この度ソロとして初のフルアルバム完成と相成った。
自らで曲を作り、自らで歌詞を書き、自らが歌う。ごく自然の流れのようであるが多数の人間が携わるバンドでの活動と比べると注がれる自らの血の濃度が大きく異なる。等身大、とは言わないがこれまで一人の人間として生きてきた"KUBINE"の軌跡が詰め込まれていることは間違いない。
「BORN AGAIN」人生にリセットボタンはないし、過去を消すことはできない。でもすべてを背負ってこれからも歩んでいく。そんな気概を感じる作品となった。
KUBINE, formerly known as the vocalist of self deconstruction, releases a first-ever solo full-length album on CD.
Although remaining relatively quiet for some time after departing from self deconstruction, many may have noticed activities with ZYO-FUK (徐福), a collaboration with HOLY GRINDER (Canada), a guest appearance on a track by MEANING, and the relaunch as the Industrial/EBM Metal solo artist “KUBINE.” After engaging in a wide range of projects, KUBINE now presents a first full-length album as a solo artist.
Writing the music, writing the lyrics, and delivering the vocals — this may seem like a natural progression. However, compared to performing in a band where many individuals are involved, the intensity and concentration of personal commitment poured into the work are entirely different. It may not simply be described as “life-sized,” but there is no doubt that this album encapsulates the trajectory of KUBINE as an individual who has lived and evolved up to this point.
“BORN AGAIN” — There is no reset button in life, and the past cannot be erased. Yet everything is carried forward while continuing to move ahead. This work strongly conveys that unwavering spirit of determination.
