長きに渡り東京ハードコアの一角を支える屋台骨として活躍してきたものの、2025年11月に惜しくも活動を休止したDIGRAPHIAのCDが"ようやく"リリース。
なにが"ようやく"なのか、それは商品毎に割り当てられる規格番号が今作は「BTR-095」ということでお察しいただきたい。2026年7月現在のBREAK THE RECORDSの最新のナンバリングは「BTR-170」だ。バンドの活動休止後にはなってしまったが、メンバーチェンジや再レコーディングなどの紆余曲折を経て、無事にリリースを迎えられたことを素直に喜びたい。
はっきり言って内容は最高だ。DIGRAPHIAが体現してきた80年代アンダーグラウンドの、HARDCOREとMETALが地続きだった頃の感覚。それが懐古ではなく現代のバランスで鳴っている。レコーディング時にこの作品が最終幕となることは予見していなかったと思うが、鬼気迫る演奏が詰まった今作は彼らの有終の美を飾るに相応しい作品であるだろう。
The CD by DIGRAPHIA — who served for many years as one of the load-bearing pillars of the Tokyo hardcore scene, before regrettably going on hiatus in November 2025 — is "finally" being released.
As for what's "finally" about it, the catalog number assigned to this release should tell the story: it's "BTR-095." As of July 2026, the latest numbering at BREAK THE RECORDS stands at "BTR-170." It ended up coming out after the band's hiatus, but after going through various twists and turns — lineup changes, re-recordings, and more — we're simply glad to see it safely reach release.
Frankly, the content is excellent. DIGRAPHIA embodied that '80s underground sensibility, from the era when HARDCORE and METAL were still one continuous thing — and here it's expressed not as nostalgia, but with a contemporary balance. They surely had no way of knowing at the time of recording that this would be their final chapter, but this album, packed with ferociously intense performances, stands as a fitting capstone to their career.
